Detective Tim Standing was a commission from Charlie G. (https://twitter.com/charliepgavin) for a doll of one of his characters.

The sculpt was supposed to resemble an old doll from the 60s where the head was made of plastic while the rest of the body was felt. We were aiming for a happy middle between cute and creepy. I was instructed to go for a flat textured look, so no normals or height were used in Substance Painter. All character design credit goes to Charlie G.

I blocked out the model in Maya, brought him over to ZBrush, textured over in Substance Painter, then brought him back to Maya for Rendering.
